Actor Park Sung Hoon is involved in a controversy amidst his popularity playing a transgender character named Hyun Joo in the series " Squid Game 2 ". He was caught red-handed uploading an adult cover photo that parodied the Netflix drama " Squid Game " to his Instagram Story. 

However, the post was quickly deleted by Sung Hoon. Unfortunately, some netizens had already saved Sung Hoon's Story post and spread it to online communities. Specifically, the post contained embarrassing photos of women without full clothes.

It's no wonder netizens and fans are wondering why the actor shared the post. On Monday December 30, 2024, BH Entertainment as Sung Hoon's agency spoke out about the controversy. The agency explained that it was a mistake.

The agency said, "Park Sung Hoon received a lot of DMs (direct messages) (via social media), and he accidentally uploaded them without checking them. It seems like Park Sung Hoon accidentally pressed the wrong button while checking some DMs and it ended up on his story. He was shocked and immediately deleted it." 

Sung Hoon was also said to be very shocked by this incident. He apologized sincerely for the mistake he had made. The agency confirmed that Sung Hoon is currently reflecting on his mistake. "Sung Hoon himself was very shocked, and he deeply regretted making such a mistake in the current situation. 

He apologized repeatedly, saying, 'I will be careful so that something like this never happens again,'" explained BH Entertainment. Not a few netizens then linked Sung Hoon's controversial upload to the actor's role in the drama " Squid Game 2 ". 

Sung Hoon, who plays the role of Hyun Joo, a transgender who suffers from gender discrimination and ends up participating in the game, but instead uploaded a post that contradicts his condition in the drama. Previously, director Hwang Dong Hyuk revealed the significance of Sung Hoon's role in the series. 

"I wanted to include more marginalized characters in season 2, similar to Ali the migrant worker and the North Korean defector in season 1. For Season 2, I wanted to include at least one or two more minority characters," he said. "That's how Hyun Joo, an LGBTQ+ participant, came into being."
