Song Joong Ki Learns Spanish for His Foreign Wife and Becomes Father of 2

Song Joong Ki expressed his feelings after becoming a father of two. The Korean drama star Vincenzo also admitted to learning Spanish to communicate with his children and wife. On Monday December 23, 2024, Song Joong Ki underwent an interview to promote his latest film Bogota: City of the Lost. 

The film follows the story of Song Joong Ki as a young South Korean who dares to go to Bogota, Colombia to start a new life after the monetary crisis. In the middle of an interview session with Xportsnews, Song Joong Ki proudly showed a photo of his second newborn child. 

From his marriage to Katy Louise Saunders in early 2023, the actor was blessed with a pair of boys and girls who were born in Rome, Italy. Song Joong Ki's two children are only one year apart. His son was born on Wednesday June 14, 2023. 

While his second child, a daughter, was born a month ago, to be precise on Wednesday November 20, 2024. He admitted that becoming a father has deepened his sense of responsibility. Song Joong Ki also feels proud and wants to show off his daughter.

"Having a child has given me a greater sense of responsibility," "I honestly really want to make her proud. Is this too much?" said the 39-year-old actor. Furthermore, Song Joong Ki recalled the moment when he first held his newborn daughter. There was a feeling of emotion and happiness when his baby hugged him.

"I wasn't sure what would feel different at first but when I held my daughter, she held me in a different way than my son. I'll never forget that feeling. Our baby is healthy and growing well, and my wife is recovering well from the birth."

Currently, Song Joong Ki is busy with the promotion of the film Bogota: City of the Lost and filming the Korean drama My Youth. For his role in the film Bogota: City of the Lost, he diligently studied Spanish and finally used it in everyday conversation with Katy Louise Saunders.

She was even more motivated to learn Spanish considering that her two children were growing up in a multinational family. "I often speak Spanish with my wife at home. Parents will understand but there will come a time when our child speaks Spanish better than me. 

I don't want to be left behind so I am committed to improving my Spanish," Song Joong Ki explained. Known as a total actor, Song Joong Ki had time to learn Italian to deepen his role as Italian mafia, Vincenzo Cassano in the Korean drama Vincenzo.
