The Korean drama Squid Game 2 again received a good response when it premiered on December 26, 2024. The Netflix drama became Netflix's number 1 series in 92 countries within a day of its release, according to FlixPatrol.

Countries ranging from the UK, Hong Kong, the US, Turkey to France, with only New Zealand not placing Squid Game 2 in first place. But in the midst of its success, there was bad news. There were viewers who highlighted one of the players in the second season.

The artist was apparently once caught in a legal case and became the first Korean celebrity to be arrested for child prostitution. The actor is Song Young Chang. He plays the antagonist character Im Jeong Dae or player 100. He joins the Squid Game because he has a debt of Rp110 billion.

In the midst of his stunning acting, Song Young Chang's figure has stumbled into a legal case. In 2000, he was charged with sexual acts against a 16-year-old teenage girl, at that time the actor was 43 years old. The incident occurred in Ilsan-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.

Young Chang gave the teenager money and had sex with her in the car. The court then sentenced him to 10 months in prison and 2 years of probation. However, the sentence was suspended because he had no previous criminal record. This case is the first of its kind in the Korean entertainment world.

The public even banned Song Young Chang from appearing on major Korean television broadcasts. Even so, Song Young Chang remains active in his acting career, especially in theater. He also received an award for his contribution to theater in 2009.

Song Young Chang's appearance in Squid Game 2 also received various harsh reactions from the audience. "Is this a party for criminals...?," wrote a netizen. "No wonder he got the role of being so annoying," commented the account @ak.***.

"Basically, Squid Game is cursed by the old actors," said @faz***. Meanwhile, actor O Yeong Su, a player in the first season of Squid Game , was also involved in a legal case. He was sentenced to one year in prison for sexual harassment. As a result, he did not return for the second season of Squid Game.
