BTS's Jungkook is currently on hiatus from the entertainment industry due to his military service. However, on February 15, 2025, the 1997-born idol shared some heartwarming news with his fans. Jungkook wrote a long message on the Weverse platform.
The idol started by asking, "ARMY, are you all doing well?" He mentioned that the weather that day was very gloomy and filled with many thoughts. "Lately, the weather has been getting warmer and then colder, it feels like it reflects my thoughts.
Today's weather looks a bit gloomy. It's still a long way off, but right now, it seems like there are more and more days where I feel upset with myself," he added. Jungkook then shared a more personal sentiment, saying that he sometimes imagines himself and ARMY in photos. "Tonight there are a lot of things on my mind.
Sometimes I imagine taking photos with ARMY and me," the idol continued. "With a smile that immediately spreads on my lips, making me feel happy," Jungkook added. However, sometimes the singer of "Standing Next to You" also feels skeptical because he thinks it will just be his imagination.
"Of course, I doubt the skepticism itself and I will make more beautiful memories (with you) than I imagined. Of course, that means I also have to try harder heh," added the BTS maknae. Jungkook then expressed his deep affection for his fans.
"My feelings for ARMY and the fact that the owner of the pencil that wrote my story is you, I will never forget it," he said. However, Jungkook admitted that he felt a little anxious, excited, and impatient, which showed his vulnerability during his military service.
"But since I've written some characters, I think it's okay not to get caught up in fantasy," he shared. Jungkook ended his letter with a heartfelt message. "I just want you to know that I'm constantly thinking about you. I don't want anything else. Thank you for reading my words. I miss you all. I'm still waiting.
Please take care of your health, and I love you," Jungkook concluded. Meanwhile, Jungkook enlisted in the military along with BTS's Jimin on December 12, 2023. He is currently serving as a corporal in the 5th Infantry Division of the South Korean Army. He is expected to be discharged on June 11, 2025.
