CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa will undergo knee surgery on Monday, January 20, 2025. This news was announced by CNBLUE's agency, FNC Entertainment. "Recently, Jung Yong Hwa felt discomfort in his knee and visited the hospital for a specific examination.

He was diagnosed with a meniscus injury or cartilage injury," FNC Entertainment said in their writing. “Following the medical team’s recommendation, he is scheduled to undergo cartilage repair surgery today,” they continued.

The agency confirmed that the surgery process will not affect Yong Hwa or CNBLUE's schedule. However, they will limit their artist's activities until he is completely healthy enough to resume his normal activities.

“After in-depth discussions with the artist, we have decided to resume scheduled activities with certain restrictions, following the medical team’s guidance and recommendations,” FNC said.

“We apologize for causing concern with the sudden announcement and assure you that we will support Jung Yong Hwa’s treatment promptly. Thank you,” they continued. Jung Yong Hwa himself did not make an individual statement to fans through his social media.

In addition, Yong Hwa and CNBLUE completed a tour in several countries during 2024. He also attended the agency's annual concert, FNC Kingdom. He also participated in several variety and brand events, and even held individual fan meetings in South Korea.
