One of the main attractions in the Korean drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call is the dynamic relationship between the two main characters. Namely the genius doctor Baek Kang Hyuk (played by Ju Ji Hoon) and the newcomer to the trauma department, Yang Jae Won (played by Choo Young Woo).

From the very beginning of the episode, their starkly contrasting personalities often create entertaining moments. One of the iconic scenes that showcases their unique interaction is when the two of them have to carry out a rescue mission using a medical helicopter.

However, because Jae Won has a phobia of heights, he is forced to be carried by Kang Hyuk before they jump to the evacuation site using a sling. Interestingly, there is a behind-the-scenes fact that has just been revealed about the scene.

In a video uploaded to the Netflix K-Content YouTube channel on January 26, 2025, it was discovered that before filming this scene, Choo Young Woo had just undergone surgery. The video shows the cast of the drama discussing their experience filming the tense helicopter scene.

Ju Ji Hoon also revealed that at that time Young Woo was actually experiencing a fairly serious injury. However, he still showed his professionalism and tried to complete the filming to the maximum. In the video caption, it was stated that the surgery Choo Young Woo underwent was minor and related to his pre-existing health condition.

However, it was not explained in detail regarding the illness or injury that caused him to undergo the medical procedure. Choo Young Woo himself confirmed this while rubbing his stomach and said that he did undergo minor surgery during the filming process.

Responding to this confession, Ju Ji Hoon spontaneously gave an enthusiastic reaction. He clapped his hands and exclaimed, "Amazing! Let's give it a round of applause!" This also further lightens the atmosphere and shows the closeness between the drama players.
