INFINITE's Sungjong has just won a civil lawsuit against his former agency, SPK Entertainment. The case is related to unpaid payments by the agency, which ultimately led Sungjong to take legal action to demand his rights.

In August 2022, Sungjong signed an exclusive contract with SPK Entertainment in hopes of receiving full support for his activities, including broadcast events, fan meetings, and album releases. However, after joining the agency, she did not receive the promised contract payment.

In addition, the promised support for her various activities was not realized. Sungjong tried to resolve the issue internally by sending document certifications and requests for corrections to the breach of contract. However, SPK Entertainment did not provide an adequate response.

Due to the agency's indecisiveness in handling the issue, Sungjong finally filed for termination of his contract last year. The legal process continued with the determination of forced arbitration in the lawsuit to suspend the effect of the contract, which officially released Sungjong from his contract with SPK Entertainment.

In addition to fighting for his freedom from contract, Sungjong also filed a lawsuit regarding payments he has not received for about two years. The lawsuit includes income from his various activities with INFINITE, payments for his appearances on YouTube, and fees from fan meetings in Japan.

After going through a year of legal proceedings, finally on February 28,2025, the court ruled in favor of Sungjong. The court ordered SPK Entertainment to pay a settlement to Sungjong with an annual interest calculation of 6 percent from April 21, 2023 to February 28, 2025.

If payment is not made after that date, interest will increase to 12 percent until payment is made in full. Amid Sungjong's legal issues, INFINITE remains active in the music industry. They recently released their eighth mini album titled "LIKE INFINITE" on March 6, 2025.

This album marks the group's existence after years of working in the K-Pop music world. Not only that, INFINITE is also preparing for the encore concert of their 15th anniversary tour titled "LIMITED EDITION," which will take place on April 12 and 13, 2025 at the INSPIRE Arena. Congratulations Sungjong on winning his lawsuit!
