NMIXX members such as Haewon, Sullyoon, and Bae were guest stars on the DdeunDdeun YouTube channel on Thursday March 20, 2025. On that occasion, Haewon responded to rumors circulating in the public that her father is a judge in court.
During the episode, Haewon talked about her busy schedule that makes it difficult to see her parents, even though they are close by. "I'm from Incheon, but I only get to see my parents about two or three times a year during the holidays," she said.
"It's sad because every time I see them, I realize how much time has passed," Haewon added. Bae agreed with her colleague's story and added, "Because we don't see them often, the passing of time feels more meaningful."
When discussing her school days, Haewon revealed, "I mostly went to math, science, and English academies, as well as reading and writing debate academies. My older sister was a great student, but I was a bit strange." Haewon also touched on some things she saw online about herself.
One of them was a rumor about her school. "I saw on Namuwiki that it said I was preparing for a foreign language high school," she said. "But honestly, anyone can say that they prepared. Doesn't everyone aspire to enter Seoul National University at some point?" Haewon said, showing her humble personality.
Haewon also talked about the rumors about her father's job, revealing, "Namuwiki's entry about me wasn't bad, so I didn't bother correcting anything. But when I debuted, there were rumors that my father was a judge," said the idol. "That's not true. He does work in court, but he's not a judge," she said.
Haewon then revealed the reason for the need to clarify her father's job, even though no one criticized her for the misinformation. "I thought about clarifying it, but I wondered, 'Do I really need to do that?' It seemed like people weren't leaving hate comments, and I actually found it funny.
