Park Min Young received an offer to star in the drama Siren (working title) which is adapted from a Japanese drama. According to JTBC Entertainment News on Tuesday March 18, 2025, Park Min Young is being eyed to be the main character in this drama. However, Park Min Young's side has not given any certainty about this offer.
Following Park Min Young, actor Wi Ha Joon also received an offer to play the main role in Siren. "Wi Ha Joon has been cast as the male lead in the new drama, Siren, and will be acting opposite Park Min Young, a source told JTBC News. However, Wi Ha Joon's agency has not yet confirmed whether the actor will accept the offer.
If Park Min Young and Wi Ha Joon accept the offer to star in the drama Siren , this will be the first project to combine the two. The Siren drama takes its name from Greek mythology, where sirens were half-bird, half-woman creatures who lured sailors to their doom with their enchanting songs.
The drama Siren is a Korean adaptation of the Japanese drama released in 1999, namely Kôri no sekai or also known as Ice World. The drama follows an insurance investigator who gets entangled in a mysterious case surrounding the death of a female teacher. The Korean version is expected to be remade to suit local audiences.
