Suzy and Kim Seon Ho 's drama "Delusion" officially confirms its release plan. On May 23, 2025, Disney+ Korea announced at a media event in Seoul (Korea) that the new TV series “ Delusion ” is on the list of films to be released in 2026.
At the same time, Disney+ officially confirmed that two actors Kim Seon Ho and Suzy will join the film as the main actors. Based on the webtoon (web comic) of the same name, “Delusion” is a mystery thriller set in Gyeongseong in 1935.
The story follows Yoon Yi Ho (Kim Seon Ho), a painter who is tasked with drawing a portrait of the mysterious woman Song Jeong Hwa (Suzy). Suzy plays Song Jeong Hwa, the owner of the Nammoon Hotel, which has been closed for more than half a century.
Jeong Hwa is a mysterious and mysterious character with an oddly alluring beauty. When confronted with this woman, Yoon Yi Ho's true passion for art is rekindled. Although trapped inside the hotel and overwhelmed by fear and confusion, Yi Ho finds himself gradually fascinated by Jeong Hwa.
The drama is directed by famous film director Han Jae Rim, known for the films “The King”, “Emergency Declaration”, “The 8 Show”. “ Delusion” also marks the reunion between Suzy and Kim Seon Ho after 6 years, since they starred together in the drama “Start-Up” aired in 2020.
Previously, according to South Korean news media outlets, "Delusion" was originally planned to be adapted into a movie, with actors Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee considered for the main roles.
But filming plans were canceled when the two artists were caught up in a love scandal and announced their breakup just two weeks after publicly announcing their relationship in March 2024.
“Delusion” was then turned into a TV series with an investment of up to 45 billion won. It was revealed that the “huge” budget of the project was due to the filming process abroad and the investment in using advanced CGI technology to create the film’s setting.
April 2025, it was reported that South Korean actor Choi Hyun Wook would also be taking on a leading role in “Delusion.” However, details about his role have not been revealed.
