BTS's RM emerged as the winner at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMA). He was the most superior among a number of names from the K-Pop music scene. The BTS member, whose real name is Kim Nam Joon, won in the Favorite K-Pop Artist category.
He was nominated alongside BTS's Jimin, ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and Rosé (who was also nominated in the Collaboration of the Year category for APT. with Bruno Mars) in the category.
RM's win at the 2025 AMAs was thanks to his second solo album titled 'Right Place, Wrong Person' which came out last year. When it was released, this album topped the iTunes charts in various countries.
BTS RM's win at the 2025 AMAs is his first as a soloist. But previously the 30-year-old had also won several trophies from the 2022 American Music Awards with BTS.
BTS won the Favorite Pop Duo or Group award that year, marking their fourth consecutive win at the award show. RM is currently serving his mandatory military service. He will be discharged next month.
Not alone, RM's discharge moment also coincides with V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga. BTS will be reuniting soon! Jin and j-hope have already completed their military service and returned to the music world.
