The hugely popular anime Solo Leveling is set to be adapted into a live-action film. South Korea's most popular actor, Byeon Woo Seok, has been confirmed as the lead. Netflix announced this news on Thursday July 10, 2025, as seen on their official website.
Byeon Woo Seok will star as Solo Leveling's main character, Sung Jinwoo. "Originally a Korean web novel and adapted into a webtoon, anime series, and video game, the Solo Leveling IP is beloved and a global phenomenon.
The live-action adaptation is coming to Netflix," they wrote. It's no wonder Byeon Woo Seok was cast in this project. His name is currently at the peak of his popularity following the success of the Korean drama, Lovely Runner.
