MANAGEMENT of South actor Jang Dong ju officially deleted the actor's profile after he announced his retirement from the entertainment world. Previously, Jang Dong-ju's photo and bio were still listed as normal on the agency's website on Friday (May 15, 2026).
However, several hours later, his name was no longer listed among Management W's artists. However, some old content such as interview articles and documentation of Jang Dong ju's activities are still on the agency's website.
Jang Dong-ju suddenly announced his retirement from the entertainment industry. Shortly after the announcement was made public, his agency, Management W, immediately deleted his profile from their website.
The sudden announcement reportedly left the agency confused, although there has been no official statement from the agency so far. Jang Dong-ju announced his retirement as an actor. Last year, he was the victim of a hacking incident that reportedly resulted in financial losses.
"I will be stepping down from my life as actor Jang Dong-ju starting today," he wrote, Friday (May 15, 2026). "Today will be my last day as actor Jang Dong-joo, and I want to end this life. Even though I'm leaving the stage, I will never forget the support sent to me," he wrote.
The hacking incident experienced by Jang Dong Ju reportedly occurred in November 2025. He uploaded a short message on SNS containing "Sorry" with a black background which ultimately made it difficult to contact the actor.
"My phone was completely hacked, and the subsequent threats have made every day from then until today a living hell. I've lost billions of won, my family is suffering, and I'm in debt," he said. Jang Dong-ju then joined a new agency. In February 2026, he signed an exclusive contract with Management W.
