Pretty Crazy is Ahn Bo Hyun's latest film, set for release. This romantic-comedy film is directed by Lee Sang Geun, the director of Exit (2019). Ahn Bo Hyun stars alongside Girls' Generation's Yoona in the lead roles of Seon Ji and Gil Goo. This marks Ahn Bo Hyun's first time acting alongside Yoona.
Interestingly, Ahn Bo Hyun even got "sprayed" by his co-stars. He shared this in an interview with Sports Chosun. Ahn Bo Hyun revealed a funny story about his friends' reactions when he told them about his Pretty Crazy co-star.
Instead of congratulations or encouragement, he received a barrage of insults. The actor said the reaction of those around him was, "Who do you think you are?" His friends in Busan, Ahn Bo Hyun's hometown, didn't believe him.
That's why the actor considered sending a photo of himself and Yoona on set. But ultimately, he decided against it. "There's a reason I didn't send a photo of me and Yoona. It's obvious.
If I had, it would have immediately spread online. Maybe they thought it was something to be proud of, but I was careful because it could be a spoiler before the movie aired," Ahn Bo Hyun explained.
The film Pretty Crazy officially premiered in South Korean cinemas on August 13, 2025. Ahn Bo Hyun revealed that his friends also came to the cinema. However, they only cared about Yoona when they took photos with the film poster there.
Ahn Bo Hyun revealed, "Now my poster is displayed in the cinema. My friends sent proof photos of themselves with Yoona but covered my part (on the poster)." Who here, whose behavior is similar to Ahn Bo Hyun's friend? "Isn't SNSD a national treasure for the guys in our country?
But from personal experience, I feel Yoona is a very human person. I learned a lot because she is better at socializing with others than I am. She is like a senior in life in that aspect. Her cheerful personality also makes the atmosphere on set feel fun," he recalled.
Pretty Crazy was indeed the first project that brought Ahn Bo Hyun and Yoona together. But they had previously met by chance. On the YouTube program Zzanbro, they admitted to having met in China around 2014 or 2015. At the time, Yoona was filming a film and Ahn Bo Hyun was filming a drama.
They met while having a meal with their respective crews and took a photo together. Meeting on the same project after nearly seven years was an amazing experience for both of them. Ahn Bo Hyun and Yoona's chemistry is a compelling point in this film.
