Jang Dong Yoon is making a comeback after 2 years of inactivity in any drama. His last Korean dramas were 'Like Flower in Sand', 'My Man Is Cupid', and 'Daily Dose of Sunshine'. All of these dramas aired in 2023, making this Jang Dong Yoon's first comeback.
The drama he will star in is ' Queen Mantis ' which is produced by SBS and is a thriller genre mixed with psychology, crime, and mystery. 'Queen Mantis' is a remake of the 2017 French TV show 'La Mante'.
Jang Dong Yoon will be competing against senior actress Go Hyun Jung and will reunite with Kim Bo Ra after 'Like Flower in Sand'. Jang Dong Yoon will play a character named Cha Soo Yeol, the son of serial killer Jung Yi Shin.
His life was isolated because his mother was a serial killer who was sentenced to death by the local police. However, he managed to get through it slowly and eventually chose a career as a detective.
Cha Soo Yeol must be involved in an investigation with his mother because there are copycat murders that are similar to the pattern used by 'The Mantis', his mother. The Korean drama 'Queen Mantis' will be released by SBS on September 5, 2025.
