Rowoon has finally received a new date for his mandatory military service. He was previously asked to retake the test because his initial results were deemed inconsistent.
Rowoon was originally scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier on July 21, 2025, but he received a Grade 7 on his pre-military exam. As a result, he was asked to postpone his enlistment until he resumes his duties this month.
FNC Entertainment has now announced that the former SF9 member will be enlisting on October 27, 2025 after completing his pre-military tests. “Rowoon, who was scheduled to enlist on July 21, 2025, received a Grade 7 result.
After a retest in early August 2025, he was confirmed to enlist as an active duty soldier on Monday October 27, 2025,” FNC Entertainment said on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
“As previously announced, no official events will be held upon his departure to reduce crowds,” the agency explained. The agency further explained that the departure ceremony was held in a closed location with other soldiers so fans were asked not to attend.
"We sincerely thank you for the love and support given to Rowoon and we ask for your continued support until he returns in good condition and health, thank you," the agency said.
Before his departure, Rowoon actively attended brand events and made special appearances through the drama Spring of Youth. Rowoon will also return to acting through the series The Murky Stream with Shin Ye Eun.
