Rowoon will begin his mandatory military service as an active duty soldier on October 27, 2025. This news was officially announced by his agency, FNC Entertainment, via their official website on Tuesday August 26, 2025.
According to a statement from FNC Entertainment, Rowoon was originally scheduled to enlist on July 21, 2025. However, after undergoing a military assessment examination by the Korean Military Manpower Administration, he received a reassessment (level 7) requiring an additional examination in early August.
As a result, Rowoon will be enlisting as an active-duty soldier this coming October 2025. FNC Entertainment also confirmed that there will be no official events on Rowoon's enlistment day to minimize crowds.
"We ask for fans' understanding in refraining from visiting the enlistment site, as this is a private event involving many other soldiers," the agency wrote in its official statement. Rowoon had previously appealed the initial examination results and underwent a re-examination in early August 2025.
The agency expressed its gratitude for fans' support and asked for prayers for the actor's successful completion of his military service and his return in good health. Rowoon, known for his roles in various popular dramas, has captured the hearts of fans with his captivating acting.
