This Korean drama follows the story of Kang Eun Soo, a housewife whose life suddenly changes after meeting Yi Kyeong. Every day, Eun Soo works hard to pay for her seriously ill husband's medical treatment. It's like falling down the stairs when she meets teacher Yi Kyeong and finds herself on the run from a detective.
Yi Kyeong is a mysterious person. Everyone knows him as a teacher. But behind that, he has a different identity. Eun Soo and Yi Kyeong are caught up in a drug case involving a bag. Senior detective Jang Tae Gu sets out to hunt them down.
Walking On Thin Ice stars Lee Young Ae as Kang Eun Soo. This marks the 1971-born actress's latest drama project after several years of consistent screen appearances in Maestra: Strings of Truth (2023) and Inspector Koo (2021).
Kim Young Kwang will play Yi Kyeong, a mysterious teacher living two lives. Walking On Thin Ice is Kim Young Kwang's third drama released in 2025, following The Haunted Palace and Trigger. Actor Park Yong Woo has been cast as detective Jang Tae Gu.

Song Hyun Wook collaborated with screenwriter Jeon Young Sin for Walking On Thin Ice. Walking on Thin Ice will air every Saturday and Sunday starting September 20, 2025. This drama replaces the currently airing Korean drama Twelve.
