South Korean singer and actor Lee Junho is ready to greet fans with his latest work, the tvN weekend drama 'Typhoon Family', after a two-year absence from the small screen since the success of 'King of the Land' in 2023.

'Typhoon Family' tells the story of the struggles of Kang Taepung (played by Lee Junho), a novice in the business world who suddenly becomes the president of a trading company without employees, funds, or goods to sell, amidst the 1997 IMF economic crisis that rocked South Korea.

This drama depicts the struggle of an ordinary person who continues to survive and live life amidst difficult times, while also providing a message of encouragement and warmth for those who are facing challenges today.

The production team recently released a second poster with the theme of the 1997 Crisis, which features Kang Taepung in the middle of the messy Typhoon Family company office. The newspaper's background news coverage of the IMF crisis reflects the difficult situation at the time.

However, Kang Taepung's facial expression exudes strong determination and an unyielding spirit. In the poster, he holds a newspaper titled "Guje Geumyung" (IMF Bailout) with a confident smile, as if to emphasize that the crisis is not the end for him.

The slogan on the poster, "I am Kang Taepung. It is the era that is collapsing, not me," symbolizes Taepung's unyielding spirit. The teaser released simultaneously reinforces this impression.

Against a backdrop of stacks of newspapers and television news reports about the economic crisis, Kang Taepung emerges with a vibrant aura, conveying a powerful depiction of the struggle to survive amidst economic turmoil. The visuals and narrative in this teaser successfully evoke emotions in viewers, promising a moving and inspiring story.

According to the production team, the poster and teaser for 1997 Crisis encapsulate the unyielding spirit of young people living in a time of collapse. Through Kang Taepung's confident face, we want to commemorate the courage of ordinary people who persevered during that era.

'Typhoon Family' will premiere on October 11, 2025, every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM KST, replacing 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty'. This drama is expected to be an inspiring show with its story of struggle and an unyielding spirit amidst the storms of life.
