Popular Chinese actor, Yu Menglong or Alan Yu, was found dead on Thursday September 11, 2025. Alan Yu, who became popular through the drama Go Princess Go, died at the age of 37 after reportedly falling from the fifth floor of a house in Chaoyang district, Beijing.
Yu Menglong or Alan Yu was born in Urumqi, Xinjiang, on June 15, 1988. He is a singer, actor, model graduated from Beijing Institute of Performing Arts. His career started when he participated in the 2007 singing contest, My Show, and managed to reach the top 16.
He also released the single "Just Nice" in 2013. However, his musical career was not as bright as his career in acting. Yu then made his acting debut in the short film The Little Prince (2011).
Alan Yu then starred in other famous C-dramas such as Go Princess Go, Eternal Love, The Legend Of White Snake, The Love Lasts Two Minds, The Moon Brightens For You, Love Game In Eastern Fantasy and Eternal Night Starry River.
News of Yu Menglong's death has been circulating on Weibo since Thursday September 11, 2025 morning. An informant reported that Yu Menglong was having a meal with 5-6 of his good friends at a friend's house on September 9, 2025.
On September 11, 2025, at around 2 a.m., Yu Menglong went to the bedroom to sleep and locked the door from the inside. Around 6 am, when his friends were about to leave, they didn't see him. When they went downstairs, they found his body.
A neighbor who was walking her dog saw him and called the police. Police have confirmed that this case is not a criminal one. However, they are still investigating the cause. The public is still awaiting further clarification from the authorities and his family.
