BTS's RM once again showed his social concern by donating a total of 200 million won to two renowned hospitals in South Korea, namely Seoul Asan Hospital and Korea University Medical Center, coinciding with his birthday on Friday September 12, 2025.
According to News1 on Friday September 12, 2025, Seoul Asan Hospital announced that Kim Nam-joon, also known as RM donated 100 million won to support the medical and surgical costs of underprivileged patients.
In his statement, RM said, "I hope this donation can provide a warm glimmer of hope for patients. I feel it is very meaningful to be able to contribute to advancing the world of medicine and respecting the value of life."
Meanwhile, Seoul Asan Hospital stated that the funds will be used to help cover the costs of treatment and surgery for patients in need. Meanwhile, Yoon Eul Sik, Vice Chancellor for Medical Affairs at Korea University, expressed his gratitude for RM's donation.
"We deeply appreciate the generosity of this gesture and will strive to make this institution a trusted medical center with the highest standards," he said. RM is known for his consistent philanthropic efforts on every birthday.
In 2021 and 2022, he donated 100 million won annually to the Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation for the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage overseas. In 2023, he donated to the Korean Society of Forensic Medicine, and last year 2024, he donated 100 million won to the veterans' fund.
