SEVENTEEN's unit, MINGYU and S.COUPS, became the first K-Pop artist to hold a listening party in collaboration with Meta Platforms (Meta). An event titled "PRE-LISTENING PARTY" for their first mini album, 'HYPE VIBES', was held on September 21, 2025 in Hannam-dong, Seoul, as announced by Pledis Entertainment.
The event, held to celebrate the launch of 'HYPE VIBES' with the theme "enjoying the moment together," was attended by over 100 guests, including singer and producer BUMZU, fellow artists involved in the album's production, and several prominent figures in the entertainment industry.
The event was held in an intimate and lively atmosphere. The other SEVENTEEN members also attended to support the group. The excitement of the event reached its peak with a DJ performance by BUMZU, followed by the enthusiastic appearance of S.COUPS and MINGYU.
"We are very excited and nervous because this is our first listening party. We hope everyone in attendance can feel like friends and have fun together while the songs are playing," the two said, expressing their excitement.
During the event, S.COUPS x MINGYU introduced all the songs from 'HYPE VIBES', starting with the title track '5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman) (feat. Lay Bankz)'. The album depicts diverse moments in everyday life, reflected in the audience's varied responses—from cheers to lively sing-alongs.
The two also heated things up by performing several songs live, creating a concert-like atmosphere. The uniqueness of this event lies in its collaboration with Instagram, a platform under Meta's umbrella, making it the first offline listening party supported by Meta with a K-Pop artist.
This collaboration demonstrates the immense popularity of S.COUPS x MINGYU, especially after their new song challenge on Instagram on Friday September 19, 2025 recorded over 70 million views.
'HYPE VIBES' is an album that depicts diverse moments in everyday life through music. The title track '5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman)', takes inspiration from Roy Orbison's classic song 'Oh, Pretty Woman', rearranged with S.COUPS x MINGYU's signature touch.
The two participated in writing and composing all the songs, reflecting their tastes and emotions. The mini album 'HYPE VIBES' will be officially released on September 29, 2025 at 6 PM KST, followed by a series of promotional activities.
