JYP Entertainment officially announced that TWICE's Chaeyoung will temporarily halt all activities due to health reasons. In an official statement on November 20, 2025, the agency announced that Chaeyoung was recently diagnosed with vasovagal syncope.

After consulting with the medical team and undergoing a thorough examination, the doctors concluded that she required a longer recovery period. "After careful consideration, Chaeyoung has decided to temporarily halt all activities to focus on treatment, rest, and recovery," wrote JYP Entertainment.

Chaeyoung is scheduled to take a full break until the end of 2025. During this period, she will participate minimally or even be absent from various planned schedules, including TWICE's "READY TO BE" world tour concerts.

In particular, Chaeyoung will definitely not be performing at the concerts in Kaohsiung (November 22–23, 2025), Hong Kong, and Bangkok. She has also been absent from several fan events and tour concerts since late October.

The agency stated that Chaeyoung herself deeply regrets not being able to meet fans on stage. "Chaeyoung expresses her deepest apologies to ONCE (TWICE's fandom) for her absence," the statement continued.

JYP Entertainment concluded its statement by apologizing to fans for the concern caused and asking for their support and prayers for Chaeyoung's speedy recovery and return to her activities in the best condition.

FYI, vasovagal syncope is a condition of sudden fainting that occurs because the vagus nerve overreacts, causing the heart rate and blood pressure to drop drastically until blood flow to the brain is temporarily reduced.
