South Korean actor Lee Yi Kyung finally spoke out regarding the accusations of sending indecent messages to a German woman called A. This rumor began with A's post in early October 2025. In the post, A stated that she would reveal the real Lee Yi Kyung.
She also uploaded screenshots of inappropriate conversations. On Friday (November 21, 2025), Lee Yi Kyung revealed that he had filed a police report regarding the rumors. He also plans to sue the party who posted the rumors for blackmail and defamation.
" A few days ago, I visited the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul and gave a statement as a reporter. I conveyed my position regarding the rumors and completed the procedures to file charges for blackmail and defamation through spreading false information," Lee Yi Kyung wrote on his Instagram account.
" I continue to be haunted by anger. Someone claiming to be German—whose identity and whereabouts are unknown—keeps appearing and disappearing, just like the person who sent the blackmail email to my company a few months ago ," he continued. If A is identified, Lee Yi Kyung is even willing to fly to Germany to continue his report.
He emphasized his stance that he will show no mercy to those spreading slander. " Once the warrant is issued, the suspect will be identified immediately. Even if the person is in Germany, I will go there in person to file a complaint.
There will be no tolerance for malicious commenters," Lee Yi Kyung emphasized. In his statement, Lee Yi Kyung also stated that these rumors had negatively impacted his image. He then decided to withdraw from several variety shows. However, filming for Lee Yi Kyung's films and series continued as scheduled.
