Moon Ga Young has responded to the controversy surrounding her sexy lingerie look at the airport. Some netizens assumed the Korean drama "True Beauty" star was simply wearing "nightwear" and questioned her reasoning.

This appearance was seen when Moon Ga Young flew to Jakarta to attend the opening of the Dolce & Gabbana boutique at Plaza Indonesia on Wednesday (September 17, 2025). The photos immediately became a hot topic among netizens on Korean community forums.

Many were surprised that Moon Ga Young would wear lingerie on a long-haul flight. On that occasion, Moon Ga Young exuded her charm in a lingerie dress, a bomber jacket, a handbag, and black high-knee boots. She appeared sensual with her hair left loose.

Netizens then traced the details of the lace-accented satin lingerie Moon Ga Young wore before arriving in Jakarta. As reported on the official Dolce & Gabbana website, the item is classified as underwear and is priced at $1,645.

Despite its fantastic value, netizens deemed the lingerie inappropriate for public display. Moon Ga Young finally spoke out about the controversy surrounding her sexy appearance in a roundtable interview ahead of the premiere of her film, Once We Were Us.

At the beginning of the interview, Moon Ga Young expressed her feelings about starring in a new film after nine years. She then answered a question about her style and emphasized that she "didn't intend to change the image" that has stuck with her for so long.

Since childhood, Moon Ga Young has portrayed various characters with diverse sides. She has described her choice of lingerie at the airport as part of her self-exploration as an actress. "Maybe the version of me who was a child actress wanted to try something more daring," said Moon Ga Young, as reported by allkpop.

The 28-year-old actress continued, "Overall, I'm still learning about myself, what looks good on me, what I like and don't like. I love trying new things. I also love fashion." Moon Ga Young admitted that some people might be surprised by her fashion choices, but others might actually like her look.

"So, we'll never know unless we try something," she concluded. Meanwhile, the film Once We Were Us, starring Moon Ga Young and Koo Kyo Hwan, is scheduled to be released on December 31, 2025.

This remake of the Chinese film, Us and Them, tells the story of two strangers who develop an emotional connection while sitting next to each other on a long train journey. Ten years later, they are reunited with unanswered questions.
