Seoul Seodaemun police conducted a search at PSY's agency P Nation and confiscated his vehicle on Thursday December 4, 2025. This confiscation is part of an investigation into PSY's alleged violation of the Medical Services Act.
In a KBS report on Thursday December 11, 2025, not only PSY's assets, the Gangnam Style singer's cellphone was also secured to search for evidence of long-distance prescriptions and taking drugs from a third party.
It was previously reported that PSY was suspected of receiving prescriptions for psychotropic sleeping pills from a university hospital in Seoul without direct consultation from 2022 until recently. However, doctor A who prescribed PSY denied the allegations of wrongdoing because the musician had a legal long-distance consultation.
PSY's agency also told KBS that PSY had been receiving prescriptions through remote consultations since the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to his busy schedule, PSY continued the same method afterward, admitting that there were "a few instances of negligence."
Meanwhile, authorities believe that PSY did not receive a prescription in someone else's name and that he also did not abuse the drug by consuming excessive amounts or using it for purposes beyond the scope of the prescription.
