ILLIT's Minju and Moon Sang Min are reportedly in talks to leave their positions as MCs on KBS 2TV's weekly music show, 'Music Bank', according to South Korean media reports on January 7, 2026. Shortly afterward, an official KBS representative provided clarification regarding Minju.
"Minju is currently in discussions regarding the possibility of withdrawing from 'Music Bank,'" the KBS representative said, as quoted by various sources. Meanwhile, KBS has not yet made any official statement regarding the rumors of Moon Sang Min's departure from the same show.
Minju first joined as Music Bank MC about a year and three months ago, precisely in October 2024. She replaced LE SSERAFIM's Hong Eunchae and paired with Moon Sang Min, who had been an MC since May 2024.
During her tenure, Minju received widespread praise for her energetic and natural hosting skills, including her personal mini-segment, Minju's Pink Cabinet. Her potential departure has sparked much fan speculation, including the possibility of ILLIT embarking on a world tour in 2026.
