VERIVERY's Kangmin has been officially cast as the lead actor in a short drama titled 'Jumpboy LIVE', marking his first step in expanding his acting career. 'Jumpboy LIVE' is an original work from the new short drama streaming platform KITZ.
It joins the premium lineup following 'Wind Up,' starring NCT's Jeno and Jaemin. In the human science-fiction genre, 'Jumpboy LIVE' is directed by Lee Jung Hoon, who previously had success with the drama 'The Hunter with a Scalpel' which entered the international series festival at Cannes.
Kangmin will play the central character who carries the narrative of the main character's growth, expected to provide immersion and emotional depth for the audience. Previously, Kangmin made his acting debut through the web drama "If You Just Wiggle Your Fingers" (2023-2024) as Joo Seon Jae.
His performance at the time received praise for his stable and natural acting. Through "Jumpboy LIVE," Kangmin plans to show a new side that fans have never seen before. Meanwhile, as a member of VERIVERY, Kangmin has been actively promoting his fourth single, "Lost and Found."
He has appeared on various music shows, served as a special MC, held solo fan meetings, and participated in magazine photo shoots. His global activities have also been busy, including individual fan meetings in Shanghai and Beijing, as well as group fan meetings in Singapore and Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
