He earned a bachelor's degree in Film and Visual Arts from Konkuk University. The singer of "The Astronaut" then pursued a master's degree in Film at Hanyang Cyber University. Before his debut as a K-pop idol, Jin from BTS had considered becoming an actor.
During the 2022 Festa Dinner live broadcast, Jin stated that he wanted to learn and experience different roles. However, that idea has faded away as he has learned many new things since his K-pop trainee days.
The man, whose real name is Kim Seokjin, has proven that BTS and his fans are his top priorities. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Jin said, "I always thought there was no reason to continue my career if it wasn't with my group members.
I don't think a solo career is that important to me." He will focus on music; acting is not an option. "If I do anything, it's to try something different within the group when the members are bored. I'm not interested in acting or anything like that."
"My biggest dream is to go on tour with BTS and meet as many fans as possible from all over the world," added BTS's Jin. This isn't the first time BTS's Jin has turned down the opportunity to become an actor.
Previously, during a Lie Detector Test video on Vanity Fair's YouTube channel, Jin stated that he would turn down an acting offer, even if he received one from renowned director Bong Joon Ho, who was behind the success of Parasite.
