Lisa is once again proving her mettle on the international stage. The BLACKPINK member, now under her own agency, LLOUD, is confirmed to perform at the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in North America in June 2026.

This news not only garnered global attention but also marked a new milestone in Lisa's career. In an official statement, LLOUD expressed their enthusiasm for the idol's participation in the quadrennial football event.

“Excited to announce that LISA will be part of the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be the first major FIFA World Cup in history!” wrote LLOUD. The 2026 World Cup will be the largest ever, with 48 teams participating and being held in three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

To celebrate, FIFA is planning three different opening ceremonies. Lisa is scheduled to perform at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on June 12, 2026. Interestingly, Lisa won't be alone. She will share the stage with a host of world-class musicians, including: Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, Rema, Tyla and DJ Sanjoy.

According to a report by The Athletic, the show in Los Angeles will last for about 13 minutes, just before the United States national team's first match against Paraguay begins. Lisa's appearance on stage further cemented the global dominance of Korean artists.

Lisa became the second K-pop artist to perform at a World Cup opening ceremony, following in the footsteps of BTS's Jungkook, who previously wowed the world with his song "Dreamers" in Qatar in 2022.

Since her debut with BLACKPINK in 2016, Lisa's influence has been unstoppable. In addition to her massive success in the music industry with her solo album, "Lalisa," she has also branched out into acting and fashion.

With the massive scale of the event and the involvement of big names, the world is now eagerly awaiting Lisa's renowned, energetic and iconic stage presence. Will she perform a new song specifically for this tournament? We'll have to wait for the surprise in the summer of 2026!
