Song Kang's Korean Drama 'Four Hands' Will Air Soon, Showing His Charm as a Pianist

Song Kang finally made his comeback with a new drama after two years. Four Hands marked a new era for him after the third season of Sweet Home aired in 2024. The South Korean actor is ready to showcase his transformation as a genius pianist. 

The intrigue of the Korean drama Four Hands is getting even more exciting with the story of Song Kang and Lee Jun Young's rivalry from their school days to their worldwide recognition as professional pianists.

The Four Hands production team has shared a sneak peek of Song Kang and co.'s preparations for the script reading. In addition to Lee Jun Young as his rival, Jang Gyu Ri is portrayed as Song Kang's best friend and avid music listener.

To get into character, the Four Hands cast started taking piano lessons and listening to a lot of classical music. Four Hands is a term used to describe the technique of playing the piano simultaneously by two people. 

The storyline highlights the friendship, love, rivalry, and growth of Korean high school students from adolescence to adulthood. In the Korean drama Four Hands, Song Kang plays the genius and perfectionist pianist Kang Bi Oh. 

He consistently excels in both academics and piano skills. Despite his innate talent, Kang Bi Oh has always been diligent and never slacked off. He has earned praise as a rising pianist, successfully sweeping three prestigious world competitions.

The appearance of Lee Jun Young's character, Choi Jeong Yo, as Song Kang's rival, begins to change his musical life. A fellow piano prodigy who suddenly appears at Korea Arts High School, he endured a harsh childhood and rejected his own talent.

After meeting rival Kang Bi Oh, Choi Jeong Yo also feels strange emotions that eventually attach to his musical talent. Meanwhile, Jang Gyu Ri is portrayed as a violin student named Hong Jae In. With her keen hearing, she can instantly capture beautiful melodies.

Hong Jae In is also selective in choosing music that pleases her ears. She only listens to Kang Bi Oh's music, and eventually becomes friends with the genius pianist. Song Kang fans can look forward to the premiere of the Korean drama Four Hands on tvN in August 2026.
