South Korean boy gruop, BTS (Bangtan Boys) has reached a new milestone with the music video (MV) for 'IDOL', which has now surpassed 1.4 billion views on YouTube. 

This achievement occurred on July 29, 2026 at 9:19 PM KST, making it BTS's fifth MV to reach this milestone, following in the footsteps of 'Boy With Luv', 'DNA', 'Dynamite', and 'MIC Drop ( Steve Aoki Remix)'.

The music video for "IDOL" was first released on August 24, 2018, at 6:00 PM KST. It took the song over seven years, 11 months, and five days to reach 1.4 billion views. This achievement further solidifies BTS's position as one of the most popular K-Pop groups in the world.

The fans, known as ARMY, have been relentlessly celebrating this milestone. To commemorate this special moment, many have reposted the "IDOL" music video on social media and created various creative content.
