NCT has lost another member. Winwin, a member of the subunit WayV, has decided not to renew his contract with SM Entertainment. This news was announced by NCT's agency via an announcement on Weverse.

SM Entertainment announced that Winwin's exclusive contract with them will expire tomorrow, July 9th. "After careful discussions with Winwin, we have agreed to terminate his exclusive contract effective July 9th. Winwin's activities as an NCT member will also end," the management said.

The man, whose real name is Dong Si Cheng, has ended his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment after 10 years with them, dating back to their trainee days. Winwin was introduced as a member of SM Rookies 10 years ago alongside Kun.

He then debuted as a member of NCT 127 with the track "Fire Truck" (2016). Since then, Winwin has been active with NCT 127 in several comebacks, including their latest album, Regulate (2018). Winwin then re-debuted with NCT's subunit, WayV, in 2019.

After several releases, he then took another path by entering the Chinese acting scene."We express our deepest gratitude to Winwin, who has been with SM Entertainment for over 10 years since his trainee days.

We are grateful for the moments we have shared together and wholeheartedly support his new journey," SM Entertainment concluded. Winwin is the second WayV member to leave the group after

Lucas. He is also the second NCT member to decide not to renew his contract with SM Entertainment, after Mark and Ten. Ten, on the other hand, remains a member of WayV despite no longer being under SM. WayV now consists of Kun, Xiaojun, Yangyang, and Hendery.
