The Korean drama scene is entering a new trend: fictional K-Pop groups. tvN is preparing a series titled 'My Bias, My Boss', which will introduce a fictional boy band called DNX. My Bias, My Boss is a Korean drama adapted from a webtoon.

The story centers on the romance between Nam Da Reum, a woman who joins an entertainment company to meet her true idol, Lee Chan. There, life certainly isn't smooth sailing, especially when the company CEO suddenly enters the picture.

Lee Chan (played by Cha Woo Min in this drama) is said to have debuted with the group DNX 12 years ago. This group is under the management of Apello, founded by Lee Chan and Kang Ha Gi (played by Kang Hoon).

DNX immediately became popular after their debut as a five-member K-Pop idol group. Along with Lee Chan, the group also includes Roy (played by Chun Woo Jin), Hyuk (played by CIX's Hyunsuk), Tae Oh (played by EPEX's Baekseung), and Jinu (played by Jung Hyun Min).

Upon their 2015 debut in the fictional world of My Bias, My Boss, DNX immediately skyrocketed with their fresh image, energetic performances, and powerful vocals. However, they were suddenly unable to make a comeback due to a mysterious issue.

The continuation of DNX's story and the group's journey will be revealed in the drama "My Bias, My Boss," which will premiere on August 3, 2026. Meanwhile, tvN has released stills for the fictional boy band DNX.

Since Lovely Runner (2024) exploded with its fictional group Eclipse, then K-Pop Demon Hunters (2025) became a sensation thanks to HUNTR/X and Saja Boys, this momentum was utilized by the Korean drama industry to create similar products.

tvN has My Bias, My Boss as their upcoming weekend drama project. MBC Plus also recently announced a drama titled My Idol, My Debut, which introduces a fictional girl group called IRION.
