Racer Fabio Quartararo is reportedly ending his collaboration with Monster Energy when he joins Honda in MotoGP 2027. The French racer is said to be switching to Red Bull, which plans to become one of Honda's major sponsors.
The news emerged after Italian media GPOne, on Tuesday (September 29, 2026) reported in the last few days that Red Bull will return to sponsor Honda starting in the 2027 season. Previously, Red Bull had sponsored the Honda factory team during Marc Marquez's period of dominance.
In line with this plan, Fabio Quartararo is said to be ending his collaboration with Monster Energy, which has been ongoing since he moved up to the MotoGP class in 2019 with Petronas SRT Yamaha.
The partnership continued when Quartararo moved to the Yamaha factory team in 2021. Monster Energy then became one of the team's main sponsors. With Monster Energy's support, Fabio Quartararo achieved all 11 MotoGP wins and the 2021 world championship title.
Therefore, the 2027 season could potentially be the first year of Fabio Quartararo's MotoGP career without Monster Energy's support. Fabio Quartararo will end his partnership with Monster and is scheduled to begin receiving Red Bull support as early as the post-season test in Valencia on December 1, 2026.
Red Bull previously ended its partnership with Honda after Marc Marquez left the Japanese manufacturer at the end of the 2023 season to join the Gresini Ducati team.
On the other hand, it remains to be seen whether Monster Energy will continue its partnership with Yamaha. The brand is scheduled to become Aprilia's title sponsor in 2027. This situation also concerns Jorge Martin.
The rider, who previously received Red Bull support, had to end that support due to Monster Energy's contract with Aprilia, while Jorge Martin was scheduled to join Yamaha. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez also ended his partnership with Red Bull when he joined the Monster Energy-backed Ducati team.
In recent months, there has also been speculation that a Pedro Acosta and Marc Marquez partnership at Ducati from 2027 could pave the way for the Italian manufacturer to welcome Red Bull as one of its sponsors.
