Chang Ryul will soon be greeting fans. After previously playing a music director in the series Love Me (2025), now Chang Ryul will be showing a new character as a head chef in the new culinary-themed drama,  Final Table.

Ahead of its premiere, JTBC recently released several stills of Chang Ryul's character participating in a cooking competition. Final Table follows talented Korean chefs from around the world who compete in The Table: K-Chef 2026.

The program is a survival cooking competition with an elimination system to determine the best Korean chef. Chang Ryul will show a new side of himself as Cha Woo Jin, the head chef at Exception, a renowned contemporary Korean restaurant backed by a leading company in the food service industry.

A perfectionist, Woo Jin maintains a strict routine in everything from managing the kitchen and the food area to his daily life. He also prioritizes precision and standards in his cooking. Since childhood, he's been known as a culinary prodigy.

Because of this, Woo Jin is incredibly proud of his abilities and won't accept being outdone by anyone in the kitchen. In the past, Woo Jin had experienced defeat after placing second in a cooking competition against a mysterious chef.

This marked the first time he had failed to win. When he finds out that the chef who defeated him will be participating in a cooking competition, Woo Jin decides to compete in The Table: K-Chef 2026. Several released photos show Woo Jin during the competition.

Throughout the competition, he supervised the staff while preparing his own dishes. So, that's Chang Ryul's portrayal of the head chef in the drama Final Table. Let's look forward to its release on October 24, 2026!
