Realme has announced the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone, Realme GT 5G. This is the smartphone codenamed Realme Race and it will be the company’s first Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone.
Realme Vice President Xu Qi Chase announced on Weibo that the Realme GT 5G will be launched on March 4 in China. The smartphone’s launch event time is scheduled for 2:00 pm which would be 11:30 am IST for viewers in India.
Realme GT 5G is expected to launch in India too as the smartphone has received its BIS certification. There’s no official announcement on it yet. The smartphone features a ‘GT’ at the rear panel with triple cameras on top, and a punch-hole display, based on its renders. Realme GT 5G is also said to come in leather and glass versions.
In addition to the flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset, Realme GT is also expected to come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It could feature an AMOLED display with a punch-hole selfie camera and up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Realme GT 5G’s triple camera setup is said to feature a 64-megapixel primary sensor. On the software front, Realme GT 5G will most likely run Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 operating system.
The smartphone is rumoured to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 125W UltraDart fast charging technology. Realme’s 125W UltraDart fast charging technology is said to charge a 4,000mAh battery up to 33% in just three minutes, and 100% in 20 minutes.
