Tecno POVA has been launched in India and the company has announced the phone’s price, specifications, and availability details. This is the first smartphone in the company’s new POVA-series of smartphones that is aimed at delivering powerful gaming performance at an affordable price.
The Tecno POVA is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC chipset and comes with a thermally conductive material and 3D multi-layer graphite finish to keep the device running cool. The Tecno POVA runs on Android 10 operating system with HiOS on top out of the box. The smartphone sports a 6.8-inch HD+ (720 x 1,640 pixels) display with a hole-punch cutout that houses the selfie camera. The phone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and comes with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Tecno POVA sports quad rear cameras comprising a 16MP primary sensor, 2MP secondary depth sensor, 2MP macro sensor, and an AI lens. At the front, the handset employs an 8MP AI camera for selfies and video calling. Connectivity options on the phone include Wi-Fi, LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, and more. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back for security.
Additionally, the Tecno POVA is backed by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The smartphone measures 171.23mm x 77.57mm x 9.4mm. The handset comes in Magic Blue, Speed Purple, and Dazzle Black colour options.
Tecno POVA price in India starts from Rs 9,999. This is the price for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 11,999. The first sale for the Tecno POVA is on December 11th at 12 PM IST on Flipkart.
