Realme have been officially announced the price, sale date and specifications for the Realme 8 in India. The smartphone come as successors to the Realme 7 from last year. The handset come with an AMOLED display, a punch-hole camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The vanilla Realme 8 has a 64MP primary sensor and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Realme 8 smartphone has a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio, 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, 180Hz touch-sampling rate, and 1000nits brightness. 

The Realme 8 is equipped with a copper liquid cooling system and runs on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC paired with Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. It comes in three models: 4GB+128GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB+128GB storage that should be further expandable. 

As for cameras, the Realme 8 has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP (f/1.79 aperture) primary sensor with PDAF and 6P Lens, an 8MP (f/2.25 aperture) ultra-wide-angle lens with a 119-degree field of view, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP B&W lens. 

The rear-cameras support features like starry mode, tilt-shift, dynamic bokeh, panorama, super nightscape, neon portrait, ultra 108MP mode, chroma boost, among others.  On the front, it has a 16MP Sony IMX471 snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. 

The Realme 8 measures 160.6 × 73.9 × 7.99 mm and weighs 177 grams. Connectivity features on the smartphone include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support.

In terms of pricing, Realme 8 price in India is Rs 14,999 for 4GB+128GB model, Rs 15,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant and Rs 16,999 for the high-end 8GB+128GB option. It comes in Cyber Silver and Cyber Black colours. The Realme 8 first sale starts on March 25th at 12 noon on Realme.com, Flipkart, and offline stores.
