Jo In Sung stole the spotlight with his appearance at the VIP premiere of the film HOPE. The South Korean actor was spotted wearing black "duct tape pants" similar to Park Bo Gum's. HOPE is Jo In Sung's second feature film this year, following Humint.

The story follows Jo In Sung, Jung Ho Yeon, and Hwang Jung Min as they search for a deadly alien creature in a remote village. In just two days after its screening in cinemas, Wednesday (July 15, 2026), HOPE managed to set a record as the fastest film to reach 1 million viewers in 2026.

This sci-fi thriller film successfully beat two box-office titles, Colony and The King's Warden. Following the Korean Film Council's report, the HOPE production team shared photos of Jo In Sung and his friends celebrating their achievement of reaching 1 million viewers in less than three days.

The cast held balloons with the number 100, a nod to the number of viewers. In particular, many netizens focused on Jo In Sung's style. The actor was seen wearing an oversized white shirt with black pants accented with a 'duct tape' belt.

Jo In Sung was revealed to be wearing Taped Wool Trousers like Park Bo Gum's from the French fashion house Maison Margiela Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

Park Bo Gum first wore these 'duct tape' pants when he attended the opening of the Dyson Korea pop-up store in Seoul on Thursday (April 23, 2026). Both handsome actors were equally bold in their eccentric styles. Both Jo In Sung and Park Bo Gum paired their black pants with low-rise white shirts.

As reported on Maison Margiela's official website, the Taped Wool Trousers worn by Park Bo Gum and Jo In Sung are priced at €2,795. Made of wool with a smooth texture, the back of the trousers features Maison Margiela's signature four-stripe white embroidery detail.
