OPPO has been officially launched the OPPO K9 5G smartphone in China. The handset arrives as a successor to the OPPO K7 5G which was launched in China last year.
The OPPO K9 5G sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that has Full HD+ 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 768G processor that is aided with Adreno 620 GPU.
The smartphone packs 8GB of RAM and comes in 128GB/256GB internal storage options. On the software side of things, the K9 5G runs Android 11 out of the box with ColorOS 11.1 UI. OPPO claims that this handset is equipped with a sixth-generation in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Oppo K9 5G sports a triple-camera setup. The device features a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front side, the K9 5G is equipped with a 32-megapixel camera that has f/2.4 aperture.
Connectivity-wise, the Oppo K9 5G has dual-SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone ships with VC liquid-cooled heat sink, copper plate, and has a multi-layer thermal conductive graphite sheet for heat dissipation.
The smartphone draws power from a 4300mAh battery that supports 65W rapid charging. OPPO claims that the device will fully charge in just 35 minutes using the 65W fast charger. Dimensions-wise, the handset measures at around 159.1×73.4×7.9mm, and weighs 172 grams.
The Oppo K9 5G with 8GB RAM + 128 GB storage is priced at around 1999 Yuan (Rs 22,800) in China. It comes in Spades K (Black) and Wings of Symphony (Graident) colour options. There’s also a higher-end model as well that comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. This variant retails for around 2199 Yuan (Rs 34,209).
