Kim Seon-ho and Shin Min-a starrer Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is all set to be stream on Netflix. The drama is adapted from 2004 South Korean film Mr. Handy, Mr Hong. The series will show neighbourhood handyman Hong Doo-sik and dentist Yoon Hye-jin falling in love with each other.
As per the synopsis, Yoon Hye-jin is a ‘realist’, but she is curious about the dependable Hong Doo-sik, who seems to be the first call for everyone in the neighbourhood. Officially, he might be unemployed, but yet he always seems busy. A romance is waiting to brew between the two of them.
Kim Seon-ho was last seen making everyone suffer with second lead syndrome in 2020 drama Start-up. The Netflix original series also featured Bae Suzy and Nam Joo-hyuk in lead roles. The actor is also known for his performance in acclaimed drama 100 Days My Prince and rom-com Welcome to Waikiki 2.
Shin Min-a was last seen in JTBC drama Chief of Staff. She is also known for her performances in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (2010), Oh My Venus (2015) and Tomorrow, With You (2017).
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha a tvN original will premiere in the second half of 2021. Yu Je-won will be directing the series while Shin Ha-eun will write the screenplay. A release date for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha has yet to be announced.
