Since its release on October 18, 2024, the song "APT.", sung by Rosé and Bruno Mars, has broken record after record. Rosé's most successful single of her solo career has once again achieved success.
On May 25, 2026, at approximately 11:00 PM KST (9:00 PM WIB), the music video for "APT." reached 2.5 billion views. According to detikpop's monitoring on Tuesday morning (May 26, 2026), the pink-and-black music video had been viewed 2,500,699,568 times on YouTube.
It took 585 days, or approximately 1 year, seven months, and 7 days, to reach this milestone. The number of views for the APT. YouTube video brings Rosé into the elite group of 2.5 billion YouTube views.
Rosé is the first Asian artist to appear on this list, but is number 5 overall. Several successful music videos have reached 2.5 billion views on YouTube before APT, including Louis Fonsi's "Despacito," Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You," Maroon 5's "Girls Like You," and Justin Bieber's "Sorry."
In the 585 days since APT.'s release, the song has achieved numerous successes, including becoming a favorite on various Spotify playlists. As of May 2026, APT. is still at #1 on the Global Top Songs 2026! This proves the song is truly viral and still enjoyable to listen to even after more than a year has passed.
Rosé also officially went triple platinum in the UK through APT in 2026. The BPI (British Phonographic Industry) announced APT's achievement via their official platform in March 2026. The single from the album 'rosie' had reached sales of 1.8 million units. There are two records that Rosé recorded with this achievement.
First, the owner of the real name Roseanne Park became the first K-Pop artist (either solo or group) to successfully receive triple platinum certification from BRIT. Second, APT. became the second K-Pop song (and only two so far) to be certified triple platinum in the UK after PSY's Gangnam Style.
PSY himself received a triple platinum BRIT certification for Gangnam Style in March 2024. The iconic song was released in 2012. The long gap between Gangnam Style's release and its triple platinum certification puts Rosé ahead of her senior.
APT. became the fastest K-Pop song in UK music history to achieve this certification. Rosé also previously won the International Song of the Year award at the 2026 BRIT Awards. This followed her win for Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
