South Korean boy group BTS is scheduled to attend the 2026 American Music Awards (AMA) on Monday, May 25, 2026. They are returning to the event after a four-year absence. According to Billboard, BTS is nominated for three categories at the 2026 AMAs.
They are nominated for "Artist of the Year," "Song of the Summer" for "Swim," and "Best K-Pop Artist." To date, BTS has won 11 AMA awards and will once again face Taylor Swift in the "Artist of the Year" category.
BTS themselves previously won against the soloist at the 2021 AMAs. According to an AMA press release, Queen Latifah has been tapped to host this year's ceremony. The committee has also confirmed the attendance of big names like Taylor Swift, Twenty One Pilots, and other artists.
The 2026 AMA nominations were announced last month. Taylor Swift led the way with eight nominations, followed by Sabrina Carpenter and others with seven. Their performance at the 2026 AMAs is sure to be one of the most anticipated moments for ARMY and global music lovers.
