HONOR Play 30 Plus 5G was revealed in China as the entry-level budget smartphone from the Chinese tech giant. The handset comes with a MediaTek entry-level 5G chipset, U shaped notch display, a Android 11 OS, disk-shaped dual camera module, big battery, fast charging, glossy rear panel, and more.
HONOR Play 30 Plus 5G features a 6.74 inches TFT LCD display with an HD+ ( 720 x 1600 pixels ) resolution, a 90Hz fast refresh rate, 90.07% screen-to-body ratio, and TÃœV Rheinland certifications. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with MicroSDHC card slot support.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the smartphone boasts a dual rear camera that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera under the dewdrop notch. The device is running on Android 11 OS out of the box with Magic UI 5.0 skin on top.
The Honor Play 30 Plus 5G is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 22.5W fast charging. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 167.59 × 77.19 × 8.62mm and weighs 198 grams. For connectivity, the handset includes 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard, the device sports an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, proximity light sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
HONOR Play 30 Plus 5G comes in three configurations:- 4GB +128GB priced at 1,099 yuan, 6GB +128GB priced at 1,299 yuan and 8GB +128GB priced at 1,499 yuan. The company offered the smartphone in four color options namely Magic night black, charm sea blue, titanium empty silver, and dawn gold. The phone can be pre-ordered from today and will go for sale on December 21 in China.
