Oppo A55 5G has been launched in China with Mediatek Dimensity 700 SoC and 5000mah battery. It carries a price tag of 1,599 Yuan (around Rs.18,000). The Chinese tech company has added a new device in its quite popular A series. The handset runs on Color OS 11.1 on top of Android 11 out of the box and comes in Brisk Blue and Rhythm Black color option.
Oppo A55 5G has a 6.5-inches HD+ IPS LCD (1600 x 720 pixels) resolution panel with a waterdrop notch design. The display supports 60Hz refresh rate, 60Hz touch sampling rate, 71% NTSC colour gamut, 269 PPI, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 480 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, It is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 700 SoC, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and coupled with up 6GB of RAM + 128GB UFS storage. There is also a microSD card slot for the expansion of storage.
As far as the cameras are concerned, The Oppo A55 5G is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 13-Megapixel (primary) camera with an f/2.2 aperture + 2-Megapixel (macro) lens with f/2.4 aperture + 2-Megapixel (depth) lens with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is an 8-Megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls.
Oppo A55 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 10W standard charging technology. For connectivity options, The smartphone includes a dual sim slot, 5G, 4G, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS and USB Type-C 2.0 port. In terms of sensors, The device has an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It measures 163.9 x 75.7 x 8.4 mm and weighs 186 g.
As for pricing and availability, the Oppo A55 5G comes in a sole variant of 6GB + 128GB storage that carries a price tag of 1,599 Yuan (around Rs.18,000). The handset comes comes in Brisk Blue and Rhythm Black color option. It is currently up for pre-order on Chinese leading eCommerce websites. However, The Chinese tech company has not revealed any information related to its international availability.
