Mark Lee, a former NCT member, expressed his gratitude in celebration of his 10th debut anniversary, even though he has officially left the group. Through a fan communication platform on Tuesday (April 9, 2026), Mark greeted NCTzen (the name for NCT fans) for the first time since his retirement announcement.
"Today marks exactly 10 years since my debut. I came here because I wanted to once again say thank you so much for all your support over the past 10 years," Mark said in the message.
Mark also shared an update on his ongoing hiatus. He stated that he was taking a break from social media to calm down and prepare for his next steps in the entertainment industry.
He expressed his gratitude for the continued outpouring of support from fans. "I was so surprised and emotional seeing the support truck NCTzens sent, as well as the hashtags and other positive posts. It means so much to me," he said.
Mark promised to return soon with a new image that can give strength to fans. At the end of his message, Mark again apologized to anyone who might have been hurt by his decision to leave the group. However, he closed the message warmly.
"Once again, I apologize to NCTzens and everyone who was hurt because of me. Thank you so much, and most importantly, happy 10th anniversary to NCT. I sincerely wish you a happy 10th anniversary."
Previously, on April 3, 2026, SM Entertainment officially announced the termination of Mark's exclusive contract. This decision was made after extensive discussions regarding the artist's future career direction.
Despite having now taken different paths, this 10th anniversary message shows the still strong emotional connection between Mark, the group that made his name, and the fans who have accompanied him for at least the past decade.
