Chinese tech giant, Vivo introduced the Vivo Y21e in India as the latest budget-friendly smartphone. The handset comes with an entry-level price tag and offers better specs and features such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh gigantic battery with 18W fast charging support. Other notable features are eye-protection mode to filter harmful blue light and RAM expansion feature up to 0.5GB.
The Vivo Y21e features a 6.51-inch HD+ LCD Halo Full View display. It carries 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and has an eye-protection mode to filter harmful blue light. In the hardware and performance area, Under the hood, the device is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC clubbed with Adreno 610 GPU. As for design, the handset features a waterdrop notch on the front penal and gradient finish on the backside with a rectangular-shaped camera module. It has a dual-SIM slot with 4G-supported networks.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo Y21e gets a dual-camera setup on the back including a 13MP primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The smartphone has arrived with an 8MP front camera with an f/1.8 lens. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 164.26 x 76.08 x 8mm and weighs 182 grams.
The Vivo Y21e is paired with a 3GB of RAM and 0.5GB virtual RAM expansion option. The handset offers 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable via a microSD card. Other features are a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It features 4G LTE, Dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth v5.0. Onboard sensors are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS.
As for official pricing and availability, the Vivo Y21e price in India is set at Rs. 12,990 for a single 3GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage variant. Customers can purchase the smartphone in two color options, i.e. Diamond Glow and Midnight Blue. The handset is available through Vivo’s e-commerce platform website and all partner retail stores starting January 14.
