Vivo's sub-brand iQOO has launched a new U-series device, namely the U5x, in China. It starts at CNY 849 (around Rs. 10,200) for the base 4GB/128GB model. The Chinese tech company is yet to announce anything about the smartphone's availability outside China. As for the key highlights, it features an IPS LCD display, a Snapdragon 680 chipset, a 13MP main camera,  and a 5,000mAh battery.

The iQOO U5x bears a 6.51-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate and an 89% screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone features a waterdrop notch design with a noticeable bottom bezel and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it sports a rectangular camera unit.

The U5x is the latest addition to iQOO's portfolio of budget range handsets. Although it looks a lot like the Vivo T1 and iQOO Z6 5G, it is a step below them when it comes to specifications. However, the large battery and RAM options make it an attractive option for those looking to get a good-looking smartphone without burning a hole in their pocket.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the iQOO U5x is equipped with a dual rear camera unit, including a 13MP main shooter and a 2MP depth lens. Up front, it has an 8MP selfie camera. The smartphone houses a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

Under the hood, the iQOO U5x is powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It boots Android 11-based OriginOS. As for connectivity options, the smartphone offers support for 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro-USB port.

As for official pricing and availability, the iQOO U5x carries a price-tag of CNY 849 (around Rs. 10,200) for the 4GB/128GB model and CNY 1,049 (roughly Rs. 12,600) for the 8GB/128GB variant. It is offered in Polar Blue and Star Black color options. However, the smartphone is only available in China for now.
