Lenovo sub-brand, Motorola is gearing up to launch a new Edge-series device, the Edge 30, soon. In the latest development, the smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench database, revealing some key specifications. It had earlier appeared on the TDRA database with the model number XT2203-1. As per the listing, the handset will feature a Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chip, Android 12 OS support and Adreno 642L GPU.

With the Moto Edge X30 or Edge 30 Pro already in the pocket, Motorola is getting ready to introduce a vanilla Edge 30 smartphone soon. It will reportedly be a successor to the Edge 20. The smartphone has already made its appearance on various certification websites like the TDRA and EEC. The listing on Geekbench suggests it is not far away from its launch.

Geekbench is a processor benchmarking platform that ranks chipsets based on their single-core and multi-core performances. It runs a series of instructions simultaneously per core and generates an aggregate result. The faster a processor completes the actions, the higher is its score. The Motorola Edge 30 has achieved a single-core score of 821 and a multi-core score of 2,353.

The Motorola Edge 30 is likely to bear a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The smartphone is expected to feature a centrally-aligned punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it may sport a triple camera unit.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Motorola Edge 30 could be equipped with a triple rear camera module. However, details about the sensors are scarce as of now. Up front, it will sport a single selfie snapper. The smartphone may pack a 4,500mAh battery with fast-charging support.

Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 30 will be powered by a Snapdragon 778G+ 5G SoC, paired with at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. At the heart, it will run on Android 12 OS out of the box. In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone should offer support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 5G, and a Type-C port.
